The hard shell feels very solid, would definitely trust it for general bumps against hard surfaces, while not making the bag extremely heavy or bulky,
Opens from the back meaning you can put it down on the ground to remove things and only the back will get dirty which is a positive.

Plenty of room inside for equipment, the labeled picture is a good example of how much you can actually fit in here and still have space for batteries and accessories.
Feels comfortable on the back and has a clip with a strap that runs between both straps which makes it feel secured.

The walls of the backpack inside however don't have much padding so I would recommend using pouches or some kind of padding with more fragile stuff to avoid them bouncing around and hitting the semi hard edges. (I moved a few of the velcro separators and these are a little padded and easy to attach for a little extra peace of mind)
Can't say much about how waterproof it is, as I haven't used it in the rain but it comes with a waterproof cover which feels like it would definitely be fine.

Would definitely recommend for a backpack on the cheaper side but which still feels solid.

8 months since purchase. Carried everyday. Very little sign of wear. All straps remain intact and all I have added is to re enforce the two d rings attachment points on the straps as I use them to strap cameras too. Would recommend.

I’ve bought three bags in the past couple of weeks.
A Bagsmart, an Amazon Basics, and this one.

While all three claim to be “large” this one actually held everything I needed to, with room to spare.

My setup is frankly, just the basics for photography:

1 DSLR Camera Body
3 Lenses
3 Filters
3 Batteries + Charging Station.
1 Sling Strap
1 Flash

None of the other bags could hold my gear. This one not only holds all of the above, I had room to add 3 more lenses, a rain cover (for the bag, not me) extra lens caps, my iPad, and a spot for yet another lens!

Honestly, if I rearranged things, I’m confident I could have two cameras along with all of my other basic gear in this case.

Now onto the details:

Pros:
• sturdy outer shell is solid with very strong cut resistant material.
• padded should straps
• solid stitching throughout
• padded dividers with strong Velcro and soft fabric
• ample space
• additional storage space for iPad or laptop
Cons:
• not waterproof (but comes with a rain tarp for the case)

I’ve bought three bags in the past couple of weeks.
A Bagsmart, an Amazon Basics, and this one.

While all three claim to be “large” this one actually held everything I needed to, with room to spare.

My setup is frankly, just the basics for photography:

1 DSLR Camera Body
3 Lenses
3 Filters
3 Batteries + Charging Station.
1 Sling Strap
1 Flash

None of the other bags could hold my gear. This one not only holds all of the above, I had room to add 3 more lenses, a rain cover (for the bag, not me) extra lens caps, my iPad, and a spot for yet another lens!

Honestly, if I rearranged things, I’m confident I could have two cameras along with all of my other basic gear in this case.

Now onto the details:

Pros:
• sturdy outer shell is solid with very strong cut resistant material.
• padded should straps
• solid stitching throughout
• padded dividers with strong Velcro and soft fabric
• ample space
• additional storage space for iPad or laptop
Cons:
• not waterproof (but comes with a rain tarp for the case)

Llevo unos meses usando esta mochila y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido gratamente. A pesar de haber tenido un par de sustos (se me ha mojado en alguna ocasión sin usar la carcasa rígida), ha aguantado como una campeona. Es increíble lo bien que soportó la situación considerando lo que podría haber pasado con mi equipo.
